Jema to supply RATP with more than 150 chargers to electrify Paris bus depots

  • – From 2023, RATP will install Jema Energy chargers in Paris to meet the objective of the BUS2025 programme: to achieve a 100% ecological fleet and a benchmark in sustainable urban public transport.

  • – JEMA will participate in the European Mobility Expo (stand D32 in hall 4) to present the details of this project, as well as other solutions and success stories in electromobility for heavy vehicles.

Achieving a 100% environmentally friendly fleet is the objective of the BUS2025 programme  implemented by RATP in Paris since 2015, in which JEMA Energy is participating as a supplier of 150 chargers for the vehicles.

The plan aims to electrify the French capital’s bus depots by renewing the bus fleet to switch to electricity and biogas. This ambitious programme will radically transform its facilities and will be in line with Île-de-France Mobilités. It will eliminate diesel buses from its network and make the Ile-de-France region a world reference in urban public transport.

JEMA and RATP partnership

Jema Energy is a major player in the technological and ecological transformation we are undergoing and a committed actor in sustainable cities. In the Bus2025 project, Jema will participate by supplying more than 150 chargers for charging vehicles that will be integrated in Paris by 2023. The partnership will start with the delivery of 5 pre-series units.

Specifically, Jema, as a driver of urban fleet electrification specialising in heavy duty, will adapt the equipment to RATP’s own requirements, dedicating 3 versions of chargers for various deployments in its depots. Once again, Jema Energy demonstrates, thanks to its comprehensive knowledge of the sector, its ability to adapt to the needs of each customer and to customise each garage with new solutions.

JEMA’s participation in the European Mobility Expo trade fair

JEMA will present its electromobility solutions specialised in Heavy duty, at the European Mobility Expo, which will be held on 7, 8 and 9 June at the Paris Exhibition Centre – Expo Porte de Versailles.

JEMA’s team of professionals will showcase at stand D32 in Hall 4 the technological advances and other success stories in the field of electric mobility for heavy duty vehicles, as well as the company’s engineering capabilities to design and customise each solution to the needs of each fleet, depot and customer’s requirements.
