Power Generation

Asco Nuclear Power Station (Spain), under development.
The nuclear power station Asco has two groups of about 1.000MVA each, PWR type supplied by Westinhouse in the last 70’s and conneted to grid in the middle 80’s. With more than 30 years operation of the original DC systems supplied by JEMA, ASCO Nuclear Power Station decided to replace them to avoide future problems of components obsolescence. The scope of the project includes all of the DC chargers for both group I & II. For class 1E equipment a quality dedication procedure was issued including; laboratory seismic test (prototype), secure class items dedication (by an external homologated laboratory).  Reference standars are the originals of the Power Station, American IEEE.

CST Shams I, Masdaar (Abu Dhabi), 2012.
Solar Thermal plant of 100MW capacity. Shams I is a 100 MW concentrating solar power station which uses parabolic trough technology. Its power output is enough to power 20.000 homes. The station consists of 258.000 parabolic trough mirrors. It covers an area of approximately 2.5 square kilometres. Supply of AC and DC ups systems for Balance Of Plant (BOP), Auxiliar and administrative buildings and Solar field.

Smart Grid & Grid Quality

450 kW Microgrid project (Spain), under development.
Jema is leading an Intelligent Microgrid project in Spain. The project’s scope is to create an interoperable micro grid based on IEEE 802.3 standard, aiming to develop a power grid more efficient and reliable, to improve safety and quality of supply in accordance with the requirements of the digital age. This micro intelligent network integrates different distributed renewable generators (micro wind turbine, PV converter, fuel cell) and storage technologies (super capacitors, flywheel, Li-ion battery).

Oil & Gas

Oman Gas company, 2012.
Supplys of 1 x 240 Vac UPS 2x80KVA + 1 NiCd Battery bank, with 3 hours back up + 2 x 80 kVA transformers.

Khabarovsk Refinery (Russia).
It is a Hydroprocessing Project with the aim of reconstructing and modernising an oil refinery belonging to the Russian enterprise Oil Company Alliance in the Khabarovsk region of Eastern Siberia. Supply of DC and UPS systems. Compliance with Russian quality and safety regulations. Gost Certification and Technical Passport included.

CCPP Koudiet (Algeria).
Fuel Gas Fired plant of 1200MW capacity. It is one of the largest combined-cycle power plants in the region and the project increased Algeria’s current installed generation capacity by approximately 18%. The scope of the supply include containerized equipment (electrical installation, air conditioning and auxiliary systems) for an ambient temperature of 45ºC and a humidity of 73% as well as seismic requirements.

ISCC Hybrid Gas Kuraymat (Egypt).

Advanced Research

CEA – JT60-SA (Japan), under deveopment.
Supply of superconducting magnets power supplies (SCMPS) for JT60SA project. For Japan, the contract includes the design, manufacturing, transportation, installation and commissioning of the toroidal field coils’ power supplies (TF PS) and  of four equilibrium field coil power supplies (EF2, EF3, EF4 and EF5 PS).

ENEA – JT60-SA (Japan), under development.
Supply of 6 poloidal field and 2 fast plasma positioning power supplies for JT60-SA.

CCFE – MAST upgrade (UK), under development.
Toroidal Field Power Supplies, 340Vdc, 133kA. These systems will be delivered for a major project to upgrade CCFE Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak (MAST) fusion research facility at the Culham Science Centre. The MAST experiment uses a Toroidal Field (TF) Coil to produce the main toroidal magnetic field for magnetic confinement of the plasma.

CCFE – MAST upgrade (UK), under development.
Divertor Field Power Conversion Units, 700Vdc, 4 to 10 kA. These systems will be delivered for a major project to upgrade CCFE Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak (MAST) fusion research facility at the Culham Science Centre. MAST has an array of Poloidal Coils arranged to control the position, shape and stability of the plasma.

UKAEA – MAST upgrade (UK), 2010.
NBI High Voltage Power Supplies for MAST project, 80kVdc/70A, 10s On/590s Off, Vout rise time 200 to 500usec, switch off time < 7us, 500 reapplications/pulse max., insulation test 160kVdc / 110kVac, controlled at the low voltage side, natural cooling, allocated into shelters and commissioning included.

EFDA – JET (UK), 2009.
ERFA (Enhanced Radial Field Amplifier): 4 x Seriable Power Supplies ±12kVdc/±5kA 60MVA. The positioning of the plasma in the JET nuclear fusion reactor, it included installation and commissioning.

DESY (Germany, 2008.
7 High Precision Power Supplies for the DESY-II Synchrotron. Dipole, Quadrupole and Sextupole Magnets. From 65kVA to 1MVA; 210Vdc - 1560Vdc / 310A - 1100A.

HVPPS for Electron-Cyclotron Resonant Heating (ECRH) gyrotron 80kVdc/50A.

1 Frequency Converter of 1300kVA, 50/60Hz, high frequency rectifier, THDi<5%, FP>0,98, 5 min 750kW lead stationary bat.; possibility to work in isolation or parallel together with existing groups, for plant expansion.

USAF - Spanish Air Force.
Supply of several frequency converters from 10kVA to 850kVA.

Industry

Chemical plant.
Supply of custom made AC and DC ups systems. Design, manufacturing, testing and commissioning included.

Transport

Eurotunnel (UK-France).
UK feeding substation rehabilitation. Turnkey project: HT valves control & soft replacing by a JEMA real time DSP processor based control system; 3 phases Balancer Systems Compensator; 90MVAr SVC System; new SCADA graphic control and monitoring hard & soft, gathering old and new signals; Water Cooling System replacing. Project developed and carried out during Tunnel exploitation.

SNCF (France).
Supply of 1,5MW HV Frequency Converter 50Hz/162/3Hz. Turn-key project installed at Pantin depot, Paris for testing high speed dual voltage TGV trains.

SNCF (France).
Supply of 2x10MVAr Static VAR Compensator (SVC) system for the 25kV 50Hz Catenary. Turnkey project: overvoltage up to 250 kV without lightning conductor; efficiency > 95%; high availability and reliability; environment protection for outdoor operation, and countryside integration; remotely operated.
