JEMA to supply 132MW of 1500V inverters for Mexican Tender projects

Jema will supply a total of 56 IFX6 3c 2550 central inverters for two utility scale solar projects in Mexico. With 28 SI-5100 Transformer Compact Stations JEMA also realizes the medium-voltage solution for the connection to the grid.

The projects are realized within the scope of the second round of the Mexican long term auction organized by CENACE, in which X-ELIO was one of the biggest winners. The power plants located in the state of Morelos and Guanajuato are expected to be completed in late 2018 using Jema’s newest 1500V turnkey central inverter solution.

The product is designed for easy integration -with a skid pre-integrated --and simplified installation making it the ideal plug and play solution for utility-scale systems. Moreover the compact size of the skid allows to reduce transport cost, integrating all the 5.1MW skid in a 40” HC container and reducing all the civil works of the customer.

The solution proposed offers an extra reactive capacity for compliance of Mexican’s Grid code, validated by CENACE with dynamics model’s simulations.

This project adds to the many references of JEMA in the energy sector of the country, in which it has been present for more than 20 years.

JEMA is present in Mexico City and in Querétaro and more than 20 points of technical assistance in the Republic.

X-ELIO, the global leader in photovoltaic solar energy, has been awarded a contract for 250 MW on offering the highest price in the Long-term-1/2017 Auction organised by CENACE (National Energy Control Centre) in Mexico. As such, the group obtained nearly 8% of the total megawatts awarded in the process, according to the auction terms.
